He created the history of the first player to represent India in chess and cricket. In November 2009, he made his first-class debut by playing against Madhya Pradesh in Indore. In the year 2013, he started playing in IPL for the team Mumbai Indians.
Then he was selected for the Indian cricket team in 14-man for the tour of Zimbabwe. On the 1st of February in the year 2017, he created history by becoming the first Indian border to take 5 wickets in a T20 match while playing against England.
