Ram Vilas Paswan was one of the most famous and veteran politicians, a leader, member of parliament, cabinet minister, and a government official who was also the founder of a very renowned political party in Bihar named Lok Janshakti Party (LJP). He was born in Khagaria, Bihar, India on the 5th of July in 1946. He completed his schooling in his hometown in a local school and then went to Koshi College, Patna University in Bihar to complete his graduation as well as post-graduation. He did his post-graduation in law.

He entered politics in the year 1969 when he was elected to the Bihar State Legislative Assembly as a member of the Samyuktha Socialist Party. He was very active during the 1975 emergency as he was in opposition to Indira Gandhi and was sent to jail for 2 years. After he was released from jail, he was given the ticket by the Janata Party and was elected to the parliament for the first time. He died on 8th October 2020 after suffering from a heart attack.

His father’s name is Jamun Paswan and his mother’s name is Siya Devi. He has one brother whose name is Ramchandra Paswan. He was a married man and got married twice, first to Rajkumari Devi, and got divorced in the year 1981. He again got married to Reena Sharma in the year 1983 from whom he has a son whose name is Chirag Paswan, who is a politician as well as an actor. He has two daughters whose names are Usha Paswan and Asha Paswan.
